01Who we are
A company organised around site work.
Plejad s.r.o. was established as an industrial subcontractor and operates from Šaľa in south-western Slovakia — inside the country industrial corridor and within reach of the wider Central European industrial base.
We work as a subcontractor to EPC and general contractors, and directly for plant operators. Depending on the package we take responsibility for the full discipline, or supply qualified trades into the client own execution structure.
The company is owned by Róbert Búran and led by Kamil Kovács as CEO, with Juraj Kontsek responsible for business development and client relationships.

02Our approach
Understand the drawing. Then mobilise.
Most site problems are not welding problems. They are preparation problems. Our approach front-loads the parts that decide the outcome.
- 01
Read the drawing properly
Most site problems are preparation problems wearing a different hat. We spend the time on drawings, specifications and interfaces before the first crew is booked.
- 02
Match people to the work
The right qualification for the actual joint, the actual material and the actual position — checked against the specification, not assumed from a job title.
- 03
Move hours off the critical path
Anything that can be prefabricated is prefabricated. Workshop hours are cheaper, safer and faster than the same hours at elevation inside a permit window.
- 04
Document while you build
Weld logs, termination records and test results are captured at the moment of the work. Handover then becomes an administrative step rather than an archaeological one.
- 05
Say it early
Delays, clashes and discovered work are reported the day they appear. A problem raised early is a schedule question; raised late it is a claim.
03Our values
What we hold to
- 01
Safety
Industrial sites hand over control of a live area to a subcontractor. We work inside the client's permit system, stop when conditions change, and treat a near miss as information rather than paperwork.
- 02
Quality
Work is executed to the specification and recorded as it is executed. Documentation built during the job is worth something; documentation reconstructed afterwards is not.
- 03
Technical expertise
Trades are assigned against the qualification the work actually requires — the right procedure, the right material, the right position. A qualification that does not cover the joint is not a qualification.
- 04
Reliable execution
A programme is a commitment, not an aspiration. If a date is at risk we say so while there is still time to react, which is the only point at which the information is useful.
- 05
Flexibility
Scope moves, access changes, and discovered work appears. We scale crews up and down with the working front instead of renegotiating every time the site changes shape.
- 06
Professional workforce
Site conduct is part of the service. Crews arrive inducted, equipped and documented, and they leave the area in a condition operations will accept.

09Safety & quality
Non-negotiable on every site
Industrial clients hand over control of a live area. The way a subcontractor manages safety, competence and documentation decides whether they hand it over again.
01
Site discipline
Permit to work, isolation, gas testing and hand-back follow the receiving plant's system. We adopt the client's rules rather than importing our own.
02
Workforce competence
Qualifications, certificates and medical fitness are compiled before mobilisation and available to the client for review before anyone starts work.
03
Quality control
Inspection and test plans are followed as the work progresses, with hold points respected and results recorded while access still exists.
04
Project documentation
Weld maps, material certificates, test records and as-built information are assembled during execution and handed over as a complete package.
05
Compliance
Work is carried out in accordance with the applicable Slovak and EU legal framework and the contractual requirements of the receiving site.
06
Continuous improvement
Incidents and near misses are treated as learning opportunities, and contributions and ideas from the workforce are highly valued.
07Geographic presence
Based in Slovakia, available across Europe.
Our registered office and operational base is in Šaľa, Slovakia. From there we mobilise to client sites for both domestic and international assignments.
Crews are set up to travel and to work under the site regime of the receiving plant, including client-specific inductions, permit systems and documentation requirements.
